Be Good Do Good

There was a hare who was kind hearted. He used to help other animals in his fullest capacity. All animals praised the hare.

Once the hare himself got into trouble. While he was searching for some carrots, a hound fell upon him. He started running. The hound started chasing.

The hare ran with full speed. After a long running the Hare found that the hounds were still on his heels. He ran as fast as he could and hid himself in a thicket.

He saw a monkey passing that way. He asked the monkey to help him. The monkey said,"I would very much like to help you, But I have an urgent work to do", and left away.

Just then, a bull came. The hare asked for the bull's help. The bull said, "I would like very much to help you, But my family is waiting me at the pasture". and he too left off.

Many animals came that way. But, each one had reason for not being able to help the poor hare.

The hare thought , "When I was able I held all these animals. But, Now I am in trouble, no one is coming forward to help me".

At that time an eagle flew that way. The hare asked the eagle, " Please carry me to a far off place. A hound is chasing me". The eagle at once, picked up the hare and dropped him far away from that place.

The Greedy Minister

Veerupa, the king of Veerpuri, had a craze over fishes, His meals without fish was felt to be incomplete. He expected fresh fish everyday.

Once there was a heavy storm and no fisherman set out to catch fish. the crazy Veerputhra announced, "The Fisherman who brings me fresh fish would be rewarded handsomely."

On hearing this announcement, a poor brave fisher man set out to fish. He returned with a large fish. He went straight to the palace. But the guards refused to let him in. Just then, Veeruthra's minister came that way.
The minister said,"I would let you in, but you should give me half of what you receive". The fisherman agreed. So, he was let in.
The King was so happy on seeing the fish. He said "Brave fisherman, demand whatever you want and you will be given".
The fisherman said,"your majesty, Give me ten whippings".
Although the king was astonished, he called his guard and asked him to give ten mild whippings.
After the fisherman received five whippings he said, "Please give the remaining whippings to my partner".
Veerputhra asked in amazement, "who is your Partner?".
The fisherman said, "Your minister is my partner, My lord. He has asked for half of what I receive to grant me entry".
The enraged king punished his minister and gave a hand some reward to the fisherman.

The Bee and The Dove

Once, a bee fell into a stream. He was struggling to get out of the water. His wings got wet and he could not fly.
A Dove was perched on a nearby tree. She saw the struggling bee. She plucked a leaf. She held the leaf in her beak and flew up-to the bee. She scouped the bee with the leaf and dropped him out the shore. After sometime the bee flew away.
A few days later, the dove was perched on the same tree and sleeping. A boy was aiming his sling at her. The bee saw the boy and when the boy was about to shoot he bit the boy's hand. The boy cried with pain. The Dove woke up and flew away.
